Dear Parents, Guardians and Caregivers,
It was very heartening to see so many students receiving Reading Awards at last Friday’s assembly. Home Reading is an important part in the school Homework Policy.
Parents can support this program by:
· Discussing the meaning of stories and words.
• Encouraging your child to read anywhere and at any time.
• Visiting and using a library near you as well as the school library.
• Enjoying reading with your child – Reading should be fun.
We are still waiting on our Coles Sports equipment, but i have been updated! They will arrived by the end of June. We can't wait!
Woolworths have started the Earn and Learn 2012 program. It's a little bit different this year, instead of recieving receipts to be entered in by the school staff, you receive stickers for every $10 you spend (excluding some items). These stickers then go onto a card which is given to school. We have the cards at the front office for the stickers to go onto. All you need to do is bring in all your stickers!
We love this program as last year we received hundreds of dollars worth of Maths equipment, games and puzzles that our school values greatly.
So get your grandparents, aunties, uncles, friends even neighbours to collect stickers for our school!
